Switzerland based boutique watch brand Angular momentum unveils their new Métiers d‘Art timepiece to honour an unusual animal - Wild Boar. This timepiece features a miniature pigment painting of a wild boar after a 19th century Japanese scroll painting. The wild boar (Inoshishi in Japanese language) is one of the Zodiac animals in Asia and a great favourite with Japanese artists.
There are many superstitions surrounding the wild boar, which has played a popular role with many primitive people throughout the world. Wild boar is highly admired for his great and reckless courage and highly regarded as a symbol of conquest and steady steadfast courage, such as was associated with the samurai and was similarly considered a formidable challenge to the hunter.
