This year, N.O.A will be celebrating the landmark 200th anniversary of the Independence of Mexico by creating a watch that conveys the heritage of Mexican ancestors and the design excellence of the Swiss Brand.
To make its entrance in Mexico, N.O.A chose the “Año de la Patria”, as proclaimed by the President, as the perfect occasion to pay homage to Mexico and its culture. In the spirit of respect for tradition while being at the cutting edge of style and design, N.O.A has created a watch featuring its usual 44 mm. stainless steel case available in 200 numbered pieces.
The N.O.A distinctive 3D Inner Ring has been customized to express the theme of the Mexican Bicentennial by reminding the origins of the Mexican culture. Inspired by the Aztecan Calendar and following N.O.A’s trademarked 3D inner ring, the traditional raised numbers have been replaced by indexes, while only the number 10 has been perfectly carved in metal to celebrate year 2010.
The colours of Mexican flag have been reinterpreted by N.O.A, with appropriate shades and tones that reflect the evolution of culture and taste.Finally, each case back is engraved with progressive years, starting from 1810 to 2010, so to make each of the 200 Limited Edition pieces a “one of a kind” celebrative timepiece.
