Japanese Watchmaker Tokyoflash features some new watch designs from "Independent" for a limited time. These designs are some of the best we've seen this year from Japanese manufacturers in terms of originality and quality and they are only available from Tokyoflash in limited numbers. The highlight is the ITX21-5132 which has a futuristic shutter mode. "Beneath the analogue hands lies a hidden digital display. At the touch of a button, the hidden LCD display comes to life to present the time digitally."

Independent ITX21-5132:A stunning new silver version has been added to the Independent 21-5001 series for 2009. A minimalist time piece, this design is made with a beautiful sphere cut crystal glass face, uniquely shaped case and solid stainless steel band. The design has the impressive feature of a futuristic shutter mode. Beneath the analog dial lies a hidden LCD display and at the touch of a button, the watch displays the time digitally. With date and stopwatch modes, this design not only looks great but is functional too.
