Linde Werdelin -The Rock land instrument

The Rock, the second version of the land instrument, boasts a new dynamic design of just 44 gr as well as new hardware and functionality. The product development team at Linde Werdeiln were able to extend the life of the battery by three times, four days of skiing in low temperatures, increase the memory by 4 times allowing the user to store more data and change the navigation menu to a more user friendly one.This sophisticated instrument is able to guide users with a 3-axis compass, the different temperatures at various altitudes, can be set to warn of temperatures below - 12° C and frostbite danger, has an inclination sensor with avalanche warnings, shows weather trends. Apart from being a sporting tool, The Rock also serves as a guide having the LW Ski Guide incorporated in the instrument for the user to be able to extract the information when needed. Whether skiing, mountaineering or a fitness session, The Rock provides guidance, protection and entertainment.

The Rock land instrument comes with specialised LW software for the users to download and store the logs of their sports experience by connecting the instrument to their computer. The LW software also gives the opportunity to track performance by comparing multiple logs. This is the perfect way to re-experience those memorable sporting moments as well as share them with friends and family ! The LW software will be available for several platforms; Windows® (XP / Vista) and Apple® Mac OS.
