British luxury watch maker ,Bremont has announced a partnership with Martin- Baker, one of the finest British engineering companies, to design and build the ultimate aviation watch.As the inventor of the ejection seat and supplier to over 80% of the Western worlds’ air forces,Martin Baker is at the pinnacle of British engineering.The partnership gives an access to Martin Bakers’ knowledge of testing, materials and design in order for to produce an innovative aviator’s automatic time piece.An ejector seat may sit for 30 years but the day it is used it has to work, Martin Baker have never had an ejector seat fail.

As a company their testing facility is quite incredible – as an example, they have the ability to simulate 30 years of aircraft life through a vibration machine over a 4 hour test. Over the past 8 months Bremont has been testing their watches with Martin Baker. This has included putting the watches in some live ejection seat launches which is a first for both of the companies.

The first edition of the watch(Bremont MB1) will only be available to purchase if you have been ejected from a Martin Baker ejection seat, Martin Baker have saved over 7200 lives to date, each watch will be engraved with the individuals ejection number.The second edition of the watch (Bremont MB2 – of which there is a stainless steel version and a black DLC alternative) will be available along with the rest of the Bremont range of watches,but the supply will be of limited annual production.
