Baume & Mercier -RIVIERA Collection-New Models-an overview

“RIVIERA” : Like magic, the word conjures up the opulent luxury of the Mediterranean coast. This was the sporty, chic, pleasure-seeking world that inspired Baume & Mercier designers to create the RIVIERA line in 1973. With its original, 12-sided (dodecagonal) bezel that symbolized the twelve hours of the day, the RIVIERA design made its mark on an era and rapidly became an emblem of the philosophy behind Baume & Mercier’s timepieces: avant-garde aesthetics and traditional technique. Today, the RIVIERA collection welcomes four new creations that share the values of the originals; glamour with the very feminine RIVIERA L WHITE WAVE , a passion for the sea with the RIVIERA XXL CHRONO DIVER, athletic elegance with the RIVIERA XL 4 SCREWS, and a taste for adventure with the RIVIERA XXL MAGNUM.

1.RIVIERA XXL MAGNUM 8755
With the XXL MAGNUM model, the RIVIERA turns adventurous and flaunts its masculinity:
over-sized 43 mm case,double bezel of sunray satin-finished steel and brushed titanium, reinforced by four PVD screws. Precision chronograph with sub-dials offset by a rhodiumed plaque decorated in the Côtes de Genève style. Open case back over the mechanical movement and a black rubber strap, water-resistant to 200 m.

2.RIVIERA L WHITE WAVE 8756
Bedecked with diamonds along with a white vulcanized white rubber strap, the RIVIERA is at its most feminine with the RIVIERA L WHITE WAVE model. Its exquisite mother-of-pearl face bears appliqué rhodium finished Roman numerals, complimented by delicate hands. The Greek letter, PHI, Baume & Mercier’s emblem and a symbol of perfect balance,
graces the hour hand. A sophisticated timepiece that blends glamour and character.

3.RIVIERA XXL CHRONO DIVER 8724
The RIVIERA XXL CHRONO DIVER is made for the depths: large, 43 mm case, screw-down case back and crown, rotating bezel of steel and anodized black aluminum, water-resistant to 200 m. Its self winding mechanical movement ensures the ultimate precision of this diving tachometer-chronograph, which lends itself to all nautical sports.And with class!

4.RIVIERA XL 4 SCREWS 8728
The RIVIERA XL 4 SCREWS beautifully illustrates the sporting spirit and the elegance of the RIVIERA line. This model distinguishes itself by the four black PVD steel screws that balance out the dodecagonal bezel. The 40 mm polished/satin-finished steel case is as understated as the entirely black face. The automatic movement, chronograph and water resistance to 100 m make this model a true sporting gentleman.
